Ideally you would eat 2000. MFP gives you your deficit without exercise included, so you should be eating those calories back to keep the deficit consistent and fuel your body. However, exercise calories are often overstated, so many users only eat a portion (50-75%) of them back.

Why don't you want to eat them back? Exercise cals taste the best!

MFP uses the NEAT method, and as such exercise calories are supposed to be eaten back. However, many consider the burns to be inflated and only eat a percentage, such as 50%, back.
