I don't understand why there are people out there that hate to see other people achieve their goals in weightloss. It's hard work! Try being supportive and happy for them!

1. They are jealous because you are doing something about your weight and they are not.3
-
2. They think you will be slim and good looking and they will not because of their weight.2

3. Habit. They are use to offering you food and snacks. I like eating the snacks with you.1

4. They care for you, that is why they bring you good things to eat

Someone gave me a doughnut today.... normally I would think it was nice but I know better with this person .4

I guess some of it could just really be a difference of opinion. My mom served to sweet desserts at dinner, even though most of us present were diabetic and/or obese, because she saw it as giving us more choices. To me it felt like she was putting them in my face, maybe because it doesn't seem to me like she's supportive.

No one can sabotage you if you don't let them. You control what you eat. You can decline a doughnut, you can give it to a homeless person, or you can throw it away.8

Now if it was a chocolate covered old-fashioned, that is true sabotage!2 -

This reminds me of an old coworker. I used to think it was sabotage. And it probably was. But I also think bringing goodies like pizza and donuts was just her office brown-nosing tactic so everyone would love her. It worked.3 -

It's called Human Nature. Think of people like crabs in a bucket one of them tries to escape but somehow the other crabs try to pull them down and no one escapes.
By succeeding you take away all their excuses.0 -
That's a good visual0

My mum does this too me, always makes a comment about my weight! She origanly told me to lose weight so I did then every time she sees me comments and says to stop and as soon as I have a week off just because I feel like it she comments and tell me to get back on it even though I'm the same weight as when she told me to stop! I out it down to jealously!1

Sabotage - whether intentional or unintentional - is all around us. Almost every day I have to make a decision about my diet. My coworkers prob hate me now because They always invite me but I never go with them out to lunch or to their social gatherings. And I don't care... Just stay strong. Let people know repeatedly what your goals are and why.4

I work with nothing but epic level sugar/carb pushers in my office.
My favorite hack is to gush over the "whatever rich desert" being pushed and tenderly take it with a napkin acting like I cant wait to sample the savory treat!!
Only to dump it all in the garbage can and leave the napkin or plate out so it looks like I ate it. Oh it was yummers!!
I have even been known to stage the scene (my desk) with half the cake slice (other half tossed) or donuts or pizza so folks wont ask me to partake!2 -
I love this post. Lol. Just when I thought I was in this alone. Keep it pushing guys.. Let the haters do what they do3
