Sweet potato as after dinner snack?

Hi all just like to ask if anyone actually snack on sweet potatoes? As its high in carbs I'm not sure if I should be avoiding eating it as a after dinner snack. I actually plan to eat around one sweet potato after my carbless dinner to replace my usual fruits. Really appreciate your views on it

Sure, why not.... if it fits in your calorie plan. Fruit has lots of carbs too, if you are avoiding those for some reason.

I eat them with my dinner, not after, but whatever butters your biscuit.

i only eat them twice a year, bathed in butter, brown sugar and marshmallows. its the only way i like them LOL so no, not a snack for me

oh, my dogs eat them though. a half a baked sweet potato is their breakfast 3 times a week ......

    doesn't really help you much.

    lol

I sometimes have one in place of dessert - just add a little full fat butter and a lot of cinnamon - delicious. If you have the calories and don't care about carbs - brown sugar turns them into candy lol. Sweet potatoes are a great after dinner snack imo.

I do! Love a baked sweet potato, yes it's like my dessert. Very healthy and very easy to prepare. I put zilch on them, they're already sweet and creamy imo. I gave up actual sweets years ago.

If it fits your calorie goal and you like it then eat it.

This. If it's something you want as a snack, why not?

Sure!! Small sweet potatoes are around 100 calories, which is in the sweet spot for my snack calorie limit. I love sweet potatoes, in general. They're nice and filling. If you workout in the morning, it will give you some good energy!
