75 lbs to lose . When do you start noticing?

I have about 75 lbs to lose . At the moment I am just walking as I don't feel comfortable doing other exercises. Sometimes I am not able to . My question is to those who have lost 75 lbs and above..
How did you start?
When did you start concentrating on certain parts?
When was the weight loss visible?
How long does your body take to adjust to more high intensity workouts?
How to start with abs / obliques workouts?

    I started by simply counting my calories. After a month, I started to exercise.
    When you lose weight, sadly, your body doesn't pick what goes first in terms of fat loss. So i just let it go naturally
    People started to notice after I lost 40. I didn't really notice until 60...at 70, I still don't see at much as others do
    My body became accustomed to workouts at a continual steady pace. At first walking slow now jogging for an hour
    I really do mostly cardio and some strength. I'm not even started an ab workout
