Not sure if I am the only one but, I cannot get the walking app to sync with my fitness pal. Is there a fix for this

Make sure that sync is enabled in both of them. Short of that, try uninstalling/reinstalling.

MFP has sync issues with nearly everything from time to time.

    +1
From time to time I have to disconnect and reconnect to get them to sync.

I had to use my computer and sync my accounts that way, I couldn't get it to work with the apps. After that, it seemed to work. (Although that was only a few days ago, I haven't tried it again since...)

As soon as the MMF app syncs to its own website, I find that it auto-syncs to MFP. It does seem there is sometimes a delay to its own servers. The information does not travel from app-to-app on your phone, it goes over the network to communicate between the company servers.
