Hi all
Ive signed up and have been doing mfp for about 4 weeks now with a 15lb loss, however im struggling because i think my cals seem low? Im 5 foot 9" curretly weigh 17s 10lb, i have set it to lose 2lb per week and its given me 1380 calories. I have a lot to lose, i dont think i could reach my goal on this. However im scared if i increase now i will gain. If i ever sts on 1380 what would i drop to? As im on the lowest now, arnt i?

1380 is the amount given without exercise. If you exercise, you can eat back some of those calories. Also, if it's too extreme, change your set lbs per week to 1 or .5.1 -
As you get nearer to your goal, it's a good idea to slow the rate of loss you aim for, anyhow.
Get walking, if you can. 10,000 steps can easily give you another 200+ Kcal0 -
I weigh about the same and it's set me at 1310 but I go lower due to other reasons.
Change the amount you want to lose... 1 or 1.5lbs and you can eat back exercise calories if you choose to exercise. Once you get the ball rolling you should be okay. I went from eating way too much to being conscious of what was going in my mouth and it seemed like sooo little food. Once you learn how to eat correctly it gets better, at least it did for me.0 -
Thank You for all your replies. MFP is working for me better than anything else I have ever done, its just getting used to the much much smaller portions!
Once again, thanks for the replies.0 -
The calorie allowance is low because you chose the 2lbs per week loss. How much do you want to lose? I'd only chose 2lbs if you are really seriously obese. Chose a lower loss if you have less to lose or you feel like you're not eating enough. Being at 1300kcal sounds like you don't really have too much to lose. Might be worth playing with that a bit and figuring out what works best for you.0

Hi
I have at least 84lbs to lose, so from what I was eating to get to this size it's a huge shock!!!
I've been doing really well, 15.5lb in 4 week, just having a tough week I suppose! X0
