Hello! I have been using MFP for about 2 weeks? Just logging my food mostly and syncs with my iPhone for steps. I'd like to try to get more out of this app as I have noticed that I'm already losing a bit of motivation to keep logging.
Little bit about me - about to turn 30, 5'4'', 163 (down 2 lbs since I started), would love to lose 20 lbs, I just want to feel confident and healthy. Had my body fat percentage checked at the gym recently after I worked out, the guy said it would be off because I had worked out, and it stated 30%. So obviously I'm going to try to bring that down. My struggle is that I have 2 little ones in the house who would love to live off of macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets and my husband whose body fat logged at 9% and likes to snack like a 18 year old boy. I need some motivation to stay on task. My husband and I have been working out together 3 days a week (cardio and lifting) and I try to work out myself 2-3 additional days. I've been doing pretty good with the diet, my downfalls are weekends, pizza (lol), and beer - not like I sit and chug beer but on the weekends after the kids go to bed my husband and I will have a couple and hang out.
How can I get the most out of this app? What happens if I follow people or people follow me?
