Hi!
Does anyone have any success stories of balancing their hormones (FSH and LH) with diet and fitness? Recently got diagnosed with PCOS and was quickly prescribed a bunch of meds I'm supposed to take for the rest of my life which I'm not ready for, so I'm turning to fitness to see if I can get things back in order. Learning that hormones have a lot to do with glucose and insulin resistance, so the idea is if I can get this right maybe things will balance out. I eat relatively well though not with much consistency and my stress levels are all over the chart. Just looking for (and possibly to provide) some inspiration- if anyone is going through anything similar please let me know!

I've never heard of using exercise and diet to control their PCOS. Now if you loose fat there is a (slim) chance that your hormones will return to normal. That is what happened to me but I never had the cysts. I only had the hormonal issues.

I would take the medication to help loose the weight. Once you get into a healthy range then get retested to see if you need the medication.

I know of someone that has PCOS and takes Myo-Inositol power. When she takes the powder regularly (that's the key). She will lose the ~2 lbs per week she's trying to loose. If you need some extra help then give it a try.
