Do you guys count fruits? I'm on and off with counting them.. Does it make that much difference in your particular weight loss if you count them or not?

Yes, count them. An apple, banana, and a few cherries can add up quickly. Bam -- 200 cals.

Your body counts all the calories in fruits, so it's probably a good idea for you to count them too.

I don't know about you, but I can easily eat hundreds of calories in fruit if I don't count it. My typical orange has 150ish calories, an apple has 100, bananas usually have over 100. These things matter, especially if one has more than one serving of fruit per day.

I would probably not have lost weight successfully if I hadn't logged fruit.

Yes, I don't know about you but I could easily eat 5 bananas a day if I wanted to. They're soft and not that filling for me. If I didn't count it that could easily be 500+ calories.

Not counting say, an apple, is the same as not counting a cookie. They have the same calories, so why count one but not the other?

In the past month I have eaten more than 3000 calories worth of tomatoes. That's a whole pound difference if I did not count them.

Your body counts them even if you don't log them so might as well have an accurate diary and add them. (Veggies too!)

Do you understand what a calorie actually is? It's a unit of energy...your body is going to count it just like it's going to count anything else. This isn't WW where other food items have their points inflated to account for "free foods"...when it comes to actual calories (energy) there really aren't any "free foods."

I have one for breakfast, one for lunch, one for evening meal, that's three, but I don't think that counts as counting.

When I still tracked calories, I weighed and logged fruit, as well as all the other food and drink I ingested that has calories.

If you're coming from Weight Watchers, there was a time (maybe it's still true) that fruits & veggies were "free."

Well, they actually weren't free at all. It's just that the WW calorie allowance was lower to start (assuming you would eat fruits & veggies).

    Yes.
It's different than Weight Watchers, I think on WW u can eat unlimited fruit but it's true fruit calories add up quickly, a cup of grapes is like 100 calories... But compared to a cookie or candy bar they have a lot more nutrients
