Hi. I have a food scale and use it all the time. It isn't digital though and I'm wondering if it has to be a digital scale or if the one I use is fine.

Digital is probably a bit more accurate. Mine for example does ounces to the hundredths (so 2 decimal places) and can weigh down to the gram. Plus it has a tare button to zero it out so I can add ingredients and zero it each time.
That said, if what you have is working for you then don't worry about it. When you hit a stall, then you might want to change to a digital.2 -
A digital scale is more accurate but I have a dial scale and it works fine. Lost 65 pounds plus in 6 months with a scale that cost about ten or twelve dollars.1
