If you don't eat your calories by the time you're finished with dinner, should you eat them later in the evening?

The only reason why they say to never snack after dinner is because too many times people go towards desserts and other high calories, sugar, and fat foods. I almost ALWAYS eat after dinner because I know that going to bed on an empty stomach for me makes me super cranky in the morning and even MORE hungry. If you are going to eat a snack after dinner try veggies or some popcorn. Try to stay away from starchy carbs and sugar as that will be what may hurt your weight loss progress. A little bit of fruit won't hurt either.0

What about almonds or a post workout protein shake?0

As long as it fits in your calories and macros for the day then when you eat won't make much difference. Unless it causes you sleep problems or gives yu heartburn, you can eat right up to bedtime.0

You can eat whatever fits your calories up until the point you fall asleep as long as it doesn't impact your sleep.0

I usually have post workout, dinner, second dinner and evening snack budgeted in my daily macros and calories. I find that eating like a hobbit keeps me from looking like one.0
