Today is my fast day, I've only walked like 5,000 steps (been at work sitting). I got home and it said I burned 1400 calories so far. Then, poof- it updated my calories burned to 3,703!?
What happened. How do I correct it?

Are you saying your exercise adjustment, via your Fitbit sync, on MFP is 3,703 calories?0

Nope I'm talking my about Fitbit. It's saying my calories burned are now 3,706.0

You might want to go to the Fitbit website and search the "Help" threads there.0 -
And that's another point, my Fitbit exercise doesn't link to MFP0

I did that before I came here.

I wish I could burn 3703 calories by only walking 5,000 steps!2

Did you go to the Apps tab on MFP and install Fitbit? Look at your graph on your Fitbit dashboard for the day. Do you see steps where there shouldn't be any? Make an activity record/log exercise with 0 steps to override those times.0

I did that when I bought it yes. Where do I "make an activity record" to log 0 exercise? Do I do it on MFP or Fitbit?0
-
On Fitbit.
^Dashboard. Mouse over the activity tile and click the gear icon.
Scroll down and you'll see where you can log or create an activity record. I forget which one lets you manually enter steps.

And there's a FAQ around the Fitbit group somewhere, I think.

It sounds like your fitbit is wonky, no worries, it happens!! I'd suggest you try to reset your fitbit...it's really easy to do; plug your bit into the dongle, then stick a pin in the tiny hole for ten seconds...should fix things0
