Time limit on weight loss journey

Is wanting to lose 20lb in 9 weeks a sensible target ???

It's not a realistic target. You might lose some water weight that will give you the illusion you lost that much weight but in all honest I wouldn't plan on it.0

Yeah it's achievable, dependent on starting point and dedication, but you should be in this till you die
No point losing a scale weight when what you want is a specific body aesthetic that pleases you ...the first is easy, the second takes the rest of your life to work towards, achieve, maintain and refine0 -
Thats around 2.2 a week which is possible but it would be hard. Considering you think 20 pounds would make a huge difference, I'm guessing you're not obese. You would have to eat less than 1200 a day probably. I feel like aiming for 10/15 pounds would be better1

It might be possible but 20lb in 20 weeks would be a lot more manageable and a lot less miserable.1 -

I lost 21lb in 11 weeks so nearly 2lb a week and never ate under 1200 calories, so it can be done. I eat healthy get all my nutritional needs and walk for exercise and my doctor is happy with my weight loss. I have another 21lbs to lose so am hoping to lose it by end of September.0

I see a lot of muscle loss that will accompany that fat you wish to loose in such a short period of time. 45 year old female that is also probably in or nearing peri-menopause, and therefore may interfere with metabolism and hormone production, I say no.
What in world can be that critical to loose this much weight In a time frame that is all but unhealthy, unrealistic and just way too aggressive?
Curious to know what OP's stats are though.. is she upper end of over weight or in the obese category? Does she exercise, lift weights and eat adequate protein already to preserve muscle mass, does she have any medical conditions???0
