Diet advice

OK, I'm pretty aware that diets will vary from person to person, but I need your input on this.
I've been trying to gain muscle mass, so far I went from 153 lbs to 160 lbs in about 3 weeks or so. Doing 6 to 7 meals a day, including protein shake twice a day and 1 or maybe 2 small snacks.
I'm having difficulty because I can't loose that annoying belly fat. I'm trying reducing carbs to about 100 g per day (relying mostly on vegetable, milk, and what I get from protein shakes), but I noticed a big decrease in strength.
My question then, is there a diet that can help me loose fat AND gain muscle mass without losing strength.

Lifestyle change can help you tight fat, instead of it hanging loose.0

So are you trying to cut now? I guess so with 100 less carbs. If you're in a deficit you'll lose but you can't control where it's going to come from first. If you're noticing strength decreases that you don't want to deal with you can cut on a 250 calorie deficit instead of 400.
You can lose fat and gain muscle in maintenance. Body recomposition.2 -
My main goal at the moment is losing that belly fat.
So I wanted to know if a diet existed that would allow me to lose fat, gain muscle AND maintain strength over a LONG period of time (a life time preferably).0 -

Yes, as I stated...it's called eating at maintenance. Continue to lift heavy, with progressive overload. You will slowly lose fat and gain muscle.2 -
Thanks for your help.0

No. Lose the fat first, then slowly increase calories up to maintenance and above to build muscle.1 -

Yes - it's commonly called recomp.
Done at, or around, maintenance calories.
Gaining 7lbs in three weeks seems a very odd thing to do if you are trying to lose fat!
ETA - worth a read....
