So I joined MFP 5 days ago with the intention of logging my normal eating habits to see how many calories I was actually eating for a couple weeks before starting. But then thought " I'm already here might as well start"
I also started using a stationary bike. Day 1 I could only manage 5 minutes and today I not only did 25 minutes but also started to work my upper body. I don't have weights yet so I looked around for something to use...noticed my husband's 15 pound bowling ball and used it to do 20 bicep curls then lifted the ball above my head 20 times.
Went grocery shopping and found that the usual aches in my legs was gone, my stride felt stronger and I was walking straighter. In only 4 days!!!

It's quite amazing what you can accomplish, just making your brain learn to use what your body already has. It's the same phenomenon seen in weight training, where a new lifter goes from barely pulling the bar, to deadlifting 500+ within a few short months.2
