Thinking about replacing two meals with shakes. I have a lot to lose and struggling due to health issues and medications. I am speaking to my gp about it Monday but was wondering if anyone can recommend a good brand. Not juice plus etc, things like protein world is the kind of thing I was looking at. Obviously low calorie but giving me what I need. Thanks.

You won't get a lot of support for meal replacements here. This is (after all) a website designed for measuring & logging regular food. Meal replacements are designed so you can skip the "hassle." It's weight loss without much effort. The problem with meal replacements is that they teach you nothing about portion control. Measuring & logging is such a good learning tool.

Whatever you decide, make sure you have a game plan for maintenance. Losing weight is just the first step. Keeping the weight off will require some lifestyle changes on your part.

Would you consider a whey protein powder instead? Walmart sells these. Not a meal replacement, but a way to get more protein into your daily intake which can help you feel full longer.

I use Natures Bounty chocolate protein powder for breakfast and love it. I mix it with half non fat milk and half almond milk.
