Do I really ned to cut carbs to lose belly fat?

I lost 50 pounds since December, but my belly fat is still there. It decreased from 36 to 26, but I still can pinch a lot of soft tissues. I did Keto a few weeks ago, but I stopped it since I was angry all the time, and I felt exhausted through out the day. I increased my carb back to 135 to get my energy back, now I am worried that I might get the abdominal fat from it again. Is it true that you need to cut carbs to lose belly fat? I've been googling lots of food for belly fat loss, and I am taking/eating all them religiously, but it seems that I am stuck at 26 inches.
I will start my maintenance calories next week when I reach my goal of 55kgs. I am now 56.5 kg.
Please help.
Thanks!

Carbs has nothing to do with belly fat. Unfortunately, it's usually the last place most of us lose. I'm 8lbs from my goal and mine is still quite pudgy at 29".6

The only thing that helps with belly fat is weight loss, it doesn't matter what you eat as long as you're in a deficit3

Lifting weights has given me nice definition in my abs. But to see that definition, you have to get your body fat % down to a certain level. I think that level is going to be a bit different for everyone. Plus, your individual genetics will determine where the fat drops from and in what order. I'm the type that loses or gains kind of evenly from all over.
Cutting carbs would likely turn me into a raging monster! (I've read that carbs help boost serotonin in the brain, so people who have issues with that might get cranky on low carb.) I've never restricted carbs and I have a flat stomach. I can't remember what my body fat was when it was last measured. I think maybe somewhere in the low to mid 20's (like 23-25.) Not sure...Some people have to go lower than that to see their abs, and some people can be higher.3 -

Only if your carb intake puts you into a calorie surplus then you will add fat all over.
In a calorie deficit you will lose fat from all over.
There are no foods you can eat to make yourself lose fat from one particular place, that makes no sense at all.but I still can pinch a lot of soft tissues.3 -

Maybe doing more ab exercises to make it tighter would help? I have a pretty big belly for my size and This is my strategy for getting it under control...along with CICO of course;)0

I'm down to my last 10 lbs, and it's ALL in my belly.. If it weren't for that I'd be content with the weight I'm at.0

Same here. It's so frustrating! I'm about 8 lbs outide of my healthy weight range for my height, and still have lots of belly fat left. Ugh..0 -

Totally agree with this. Everybody's genetically different and they lose weight in different places at different rates. For me my stomach area is the last to go. As I lose more weight gradually, I do notice that there is a decrease but I realize it will take time.1 -
I would not complain about a 26 inch waist.

lol. thug life
To OP NO, but they're easier to cut for some people because they tend to be less filling ie bread vs steak- which would you rather have alone for dinner? Most will say steak though I do know a few crazies (imo) who would say bread. If you are like most people and limiting calories it makes sense to cut the bread before the steak.0
