Can someone help me estimate calories burned on a recumbent bike? (Different on machine vs online)

I weight 214lbs (heaviest ever :( ) after being bedridden for months...so sad. Anyway, the machine I used said I burned about 400 calories, but on here and online on other sites it says I burned 700-800 calories. I am 26 years old and 5'4". My heart rate read between 130-190bpm. I think I averaged around 155-165 though. I'd say about 10 minutes vigorous or very vigorous, 5minutes light activity and about 45 minutes moderate. About 12 miles in an hr. Now myfitnesspal considers 12mph light intensity, but it was exhausting for me and also put my heart rate as high as 194 and usually in the upper end of my target heart rate. So what do I go by? MPH or my target HR and the machine or online? Help? lol.

When in doubt I always go low, even if it's inaccurate. Your body doesn't care what you log, so I respond to that by logging low just in case.

Thank you! I also used this http://www.healthycalculators.com/heart-rate-calculator.php my resting heart rate is about 97 usually so it says my intensity is 80-85% average but IDK what that means lol
