Training abs 2 weeks before holiday?

Am I wasting my time doing my abs when cutting? My assumptions are that its highly unlikely I can improve my abs in 3 weeks, but reducing body fat would help to reveal them?

Therefore am I best to do cardio to improve my abs rather than ab workouts? Or is a combination the best method?

Any suggestions would help thanks.

Certainly not a waste of time but you won't make significant gains to your abs. I'd go with both, cardio to aide with your cut and ab work to retain muscle mass.

As you said, you won't make big changes by training them however every little helps. Doing ab vacuum's can visibly change your waistline though. Arnie was a big proponent of them.
