What should my calories and macros be for a 390 pound man who is 6'3 and 42 years old wanting to lose weight. MFP gives me macros but it seems like the carbs are very high and protein very low. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Enter your details into MFP, select sedentary as your activity level, see what MFP gives you for calories.
If your goal is to lose weight, focus first on the calories.2 -
You can change your macro percentages to suit you, but the only thing that matters for weight loss is calories. Set your goal to 2 pounds a week, log everything as accurately as possible, and adjust as needed.0

They're right. But you've mentioned protein, so I'm guessing you're hoping to hold on to some muscle while you lose fat? For that, the best thing to do is to figure out your Lean Body Mass, and get about 0.8g of protein per pound of that. This will most likely have you changing your goals in the macro percentages. I'm sitting at 35% cals from protein myself.0
