Syncying MapMyRun app Advantages?

I use my Fitbit to track and automatically adjust my "earned from exercise" calories for MFP because some days I do more than just my usual exercising and desk job. For example, last Friday I had almost 10K steps just from errands, Costco, and grocery shopping on top of my exercise steps. I've been eating back anywhere from some to all of my Fitbit adjusted exercise calories while still slowly losing (set to 1/2 lb per week deficit).

I just downloaded the Map My Run app mainly to use to track distance/splits for my run days. Are there any advantages to syncing the run app with my Fitbit and/or with MFP? I don't want to double dip the exercise calories.
