Hi all!
I am 25 yr old female, 160 lb, 5'8", looking to lose like 20 lbs. This week I changed my workouts a bit and included Kayla's BBG in my routine and to my shock I gained 3 lbs!!
I was doing weight training before that as well but I wasnt gaining anything.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

Hi! I had the same with BBG, I did put on some weight but lost inches. I would suggest measuring yourself and comparing if you have not already done so0

3lbs is most likely water weight, so I think you're fine. Especially if you weighed yourself after your workout and drinking all that water.2 -
Could be water

Initially I used to but now I think I can figure out the macros with the quantity without having to weigh everything.
But you are right. Maybe coz of BBG I developed some muscles and it is retaining more water.
Thanks for the help !

You didn't gain 3lbs of muscle. Unless you're pumping yourself full of a banned substance.
If you're not weighing your food. Start. If you're not counting your calories to the dot. Start.
If you're trying to lose weight at this moment in time. Do not expect any significant muscle gains. Definition and hypertrophy are two different things. Also, your weight fluctuates several pounds in either direction daily, weigh yourself weekly and keep track of your lowest and highest weights. If they start going down, you know that you're losing weight.2 -

It's not muscle, it's water and probably a bit too much food.1
