Being the change

Hello, my name is Kevin:
I kept looking at old pictures of myself thinking how great it was to be like that and feel that way. I kind of felt those days were over, especially now that I'm in my late 30's. Then one day as I struggled to just keep up with my kids running around in the yard I got angry. I'm tired of being tired.
I used to have an active lifestyle and working out was never a chore. Working out was just a part of my life and I did it all the time without ever thinking. As I've gotten older and have more responsibility I've been in denial at what it takes to stay in shape. The discipline and scheduling it requires.
I've made a choice to take my health more seriously and for the last month I think I've been on the right track. I've never been someone who's been over weight. I'm one of those people you hear about who looks in shape but could end up dying one day while mowing their lawn. There's a term called SOFI (Skinny Outside Fat Inside). I definitely live up to that. I take blood pressure medicine and I've had borderline high cholestorol for years.
My current workouts now consist of 3 days weight training and 2 days cardio. I'm seeing some results but no definition yet. It's only been a month and I haven't been eating as healthy as I should.
I'd love meet some people going though the same process and we can help support one another. If you're interested please contact me.
