If you have a calorie tracker...

Hi!
I'm looking into getting an accurate wrist calorie tracker. But before I do I'm hoping someone can test this for me pretty please?
If you have a tracker and know how many calories you burned for an activity, can you try entering the same workout in this site? I think it's pretty accurate based on my weight/age so I would want the tracker I buy to be close to what I'm seeing here: https://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/cbc
I would just use this site but it doesn't have every activity so I need to invest in something to wear. Thanks in advance!!

I just entered the data for me and for this bike ride. In reality I did 1,823 kJ of work so about 2,060 kCals. The calculator says I burned 4,014 kCals.
I came up with my estimate using strain gauges, accelerometers, and thermometers in my pedals to measure torque vector and angular velocity, from which I get power. Then it's a simple and straightforward matter to convert physical work done to the amount of energy required to accomplish it.1 -

It's a really good site for calculators for all sorts of activities. I used it before I got my Fitbit2 -

The material question is what activities do you do. As upthread people measure using a wide range of different tools.
Fwiw for my last marathon that link gives me about 1500 cals fewer than my GPS gave me. But that site can't account for the vertical elevation and surface quality.0 -
Thank you. I'm all over the place with working out. I do more strength training and calisthenics - not typical cardio. Examples: plank, crunches, weight lifting, kettle bell squats, farmers carry, push ups.0

So just log duration as strength training or calisthenics (under the CV section of the diary).
Keep it simple, save your money.0
