If you eat out, where and what do you eat to help stay on track for your diet? Any tips when planning on eating out?

Are we talking fast food or nicer places?

Al lot of casual full service restaurants have a section of menu items below a certain calorie amount. Things like fish or steak with steamed veggies and/or salad. I know Cheesecake Factory has my favorite low cal menu.

When I do fast food, I either go somewhere like Wendy's where I can get a great salad, or I can swap out fries for a green salad. Or if I'm somewhere else, I'll skip the fries and just get a sandwich (preferably grilled chicken but burgers aren't terrible if you avoid the double quarter pounders).

I'll order anything that looks good, split the meal in half and box up the other half to have for dinner/lunch the next day or I just give it to my husband for him to take to work. Portioning is what helps me a lot when eating out at sit down restaurants.

It's fine to have a burger, ice cream, or whatever you're craving once in a while. c:

I think I pretty much live at Chipotle.

Pretty much anywhere that can make you grilled chicken or salmon. Sides of lots of veggies.
