Lost my job.. :(

I don't really post on here TOO often, but had some free time and was reading some posts to help keep me motivated. I was let go from my job a week before memorial day. It was a little rough for me at first, never going through something like that before, but anyways..

I was putting on and taking off the same few pounds for 4 weeks after that. I recently found a new job which, in the long run, will be better for me. Not as much hourly pay, but the schedule is better and there is opportunities for me to pick up more hours if I wanted to.

Now to today. I'm finally down, just a tad but am down, from my weigh in before I lost my job. I'm finally getting back into a routine. I was able to get a mile+ walk in at my old job, but I'm finally getting back into the groove and getting my weight to go down again.

Thanks for listening/reading a little bit of a rambling post. Just wanted to get my story out there and hoping for a little support and looking for more 'contacts' out there.

Enjoy your day today wherever you may be!

I think where there is trouble, comes triumph. I commend you for sticking to it while looking for another job. It's hard when life packs us a punch or two. I hope you love your new job and you keep fighting the good fight and remember you are worth it no matter what life tosses at you.

Spend half your day searching for a job and the other half walking and working out, or at least being active. It will help your nerves during a stressful time.

    Great advice.

Congrats on the new job! Hope it's a good fit and you can advance.

Not to minimize your struggle at all, but yo-yoing only a few pounds is a victory in itself. All though you may have not met your own expectations during that time it sounds like you were aware and conscious of your health and didn't completely give up and let yourself go. Losing a job is traumatic. Glad to see things are getting better!
