Strains and Sprains

Ever have strains/sprains that just simply had to let work itself out for weeks and weeks?

I have had a tight high hamstring/glute for a few weeks. I had massage, acupuncture, hot tub, and I have rested it by taking off from my work outs for a few days. It's still there.

Doesn't really hurt, but is more annoying than anything.

(Yes, I stretch. I warm up before and stretch after so it isn't that- I tweaked the left when getting up quick and did the same thing to the right one probably from favoring the left for a few days).

    Yes. Tweaked left hip squatting improperly 2 weeks ago. Stopped all lifting. Don't believe in continuing to lift through pain or soreness; think that this increases the risk of further or greater injury. Hip feels better but still not right.

    Doing PT exercises to help w/the recovery but will not resume lifting until the pain goes away and, if it doesn't go away w/in the next 6 wks, I'm going to see the hip/spine physician that I've seen before. Already made an appt to do so which I can cancel if the pain goes away before then.
