    Protein powder is like icing on a cake.

    Stupid question: What do you consider strength training? Lifting how often? How heavy? etc.. to need extra protein. What if you're mostly doing cardio (Terrible I know) and you're just starting to realize you need to add weights, etc. Different amount of protein for that? Sorry, I'm clueless.

    Doesnt matter. YOu don't really need it. Get it from lean meats, dairy, and if need be protein shakes.

    Thanks I think this is definately going to be better advice than going to GNC store and asking the sales clerks!

    dont do that. they will try to sell you everything in the store but the kitchen sink

    I try to consume 1g of protein for each pound of lean body mass. I get mine from food and protein shakes. I've been lifting heavy for 8 months and am yet to get bulky. Good luck :)
