Including non foods

Do people count tablets etc in their daily intake and macros? I take Zipvit electrolyte tablets that say 1.6g protein per tablet but this is in the form of l glutamine not actually protein. Should I include it in my macros? The same with fish oils etc

I usually don't bother putting in supplements. But it is based on your personal preference.0

Some people count pills/vitamins and others don't. I don't. I take the same things every day. When I am looking to reduce my calorie intake I'm not going to cut the vitamins.2

I agree but I log mine, as confirmation; that I didn't forget to take them. Especially since I am taking. an antibiotic currently; for an abscessed tooth. However if someone is taking things like liquid DayQuil/NyQuil, I believe that they have approximately 100 calories; that'd easily put some over their deficits if taken multiple times daily, for days & unaccounted for!0 -

Whatever you believe, is best for you. Possibly through trial & error. For some people it might be excessively tedious (since the amount isn't significant) & for others, it might be preferential. Therefore I don't believe that it's absolutely necessary to but if it were me, I'd like to do it.0 -

You could just quick add the calories. That way, you've charged yourself for the calories, but you haven't affected your protein totals.0

Maybe you need to take a step back and look at the big picture. You can't get hung up on trying to hit an exact number every day.
Or change your outlook...think of protein and fat as minimums to meet - not maximums. Or set a reasonable range of numbers for macros. Look at how you are doing for the week and don't focus on just one day.2
