High Blood Pressure - how long?

If you are controlling your high blood pressure with diet and exercise, how long into your lifestyle change did you see results?
I appreciate any insights you may have. I'm really frustrated with it and know I need to keep on and be patient. But it's hard. I want normal blood pressure right now! Lol

It was pretty quick, for me. I had it under control in a few weeks.
Now, the bad part. Two years later, my BP went back up. Despite a 98 pound weight loss, my BP went up, and I am now on meds for the first time in my life. I am hoping that it is just the stress I have been under, career-wise.

My weight loss hasn't helped lowing my blood pressure, in fact it got higher and am now on med. I do get anxious especially at the doctors so that could raise it, but I'm hoping once I lose more weight that will at least help.0
