How do I overcome negativity?

Been on a downward spiral lately about my health and life. Any tips on how to overcome this negative feeling would really be appreciated.

    I would advise you to sit down and write out five things you like about yourself. Nothing negative at all. Everyone can think of five good things. Then build on that, and do it again tomorrow. If you've had some rough times, try to think of one thing you might change to make things better. Start small. One little thing. Give yourself a success to build on.     It's tough to get out of your head sometimes. Look into your life and focus on the positive. Where do you want to go with your life? What positive things do you want to accomplish? Looking out the windshield is a much more effective way of moving forward than looking out the rear-view mirror.

    Gratitude. It's impossible to be grateful and negative at the same time. There is always so much to be grateful for, even when life is throwing more shoot at you than you think you can handle. Make lists, don't get out of bed until you've expressed genuine gratitude for 5 things. Look at what the negative is teaching you about yourself. See what opportunities it's offering you to grow as a person. Grow.
