    *sigh*

Does anyone know anything other than The Holy Grail???

The thread is "what's your favorite Monty Python movie quote," not "prove you've memorized all of them."

But what if most of my favorite quotes are from the Holy Grail?

It seems like getting annoyed that people are quoting one of the best Monty Python works of all time is like getting annoyed at people for drinking alcohol at a bar.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Wow...who get's annoyed at a post a quote thread.

    *Sigh* here you go:

"Well, there's egg and bacon; egg sausage and bacon; egg and spam; egg bacon and spam; egg bacon sausage and spam; spam bacon sausage and spam; spam egg spam spam bacon and spam; spam sausage spam spam bacon spam tomato and spam" -waitress from skit

"Spam spam spam spam..." -Vikings (starting to chant) from same skit

    LIfe of Brian:

Stan: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.

Reg: But you can't have babies.

    Stan: Don't you oppress me.

Reg: Where's the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?

    It's waffer thin!
(Spelt incorrectly to try and get the correct accent in type)

is it generational thing? is monty python fun to people over 45 and not so funny to people under 45?

because everyone else has copied the jokes to the point they became obvious, cliche or overused

don't know - but I'm 31 and adore it - sometimes watching too many skits at once becomes a bit OTT for me. But I still love all their stuff. Just not for binge watching as much.
But I can watch dead parrot on repeat!

or it's not your style of humour. No bad thing - sometimes they do get shouty and cringy. Those are the bits I skip sometimes.
But you should go watch all of it - just to be sure :p

King Arthur: The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water, signifying by divine providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. THAT is why I am your king.
Dennis: [interrupting] Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

Dennis: Come and see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed!

I'm 55 and I can't stand it. I like other British comedy, some of which was influenced by it, but Monty Python leaves me absolutely cold.
