It's a long way to boot camp

I'm sure I'm not alone in being the only very heavy older women who needs to exercise - especially strengh training! MFP is great for the food side of things for me -- haven't found any thing better. But like most exercise/fitness sites, MFP is short on help for my demographic who is a long way from going to boot camp -- It isn't even on the map yet. Maybe I haven't expanded my search wide enough. Any suggestions on resources for those of us that need to start slow and learn good form?

Why not start a walking program? Get some good quality sneakers & start walking e dry day, build up distance & sped as you can? Simple to start & do.

Probably should have done this before posting initially. Did a google search for "strength training for older obese adults" and found a pretty good site - Eldergym (http://eldergym.com/elderly-strength.html) that has step-by-step instructions (printed and video) and guidelines on reps and when to increase. But any additional resources would be appreciated.

I like http://darebee.com/workouts.html - you can filter for type, difficulty, body focus, and equipment and there are usually lots of options to pick from.

Look into the Silver Sneakers program. It's designed for people just like you.
