I came off a big 50lbs cut last month. The goal was to go slightly above maintenance to build some muscle, well its not happening. I was on vacation last week and didn't track too well as I was eating so much junk that couldn't be tracked. I have beers, several McDonalds, cooked breakfasts, Chinese takeaways, you name it I ate it last week.

I left weighing 80.2kg, I was almost scared to weigh myself on Saturday but I did and I weighed 80.2kg, Not even as much as one ounce gained after a week of eating junk food and zero exercise.

    More food!!!!!!!

I was eating 1500 cals per day on my cut, take Thursday, I had a cooked breakfast, bacon, sausage, eggs, toast etc then at lunch time it was a chicken fillet burger with fries and ice cream, dinner time a turkey dinner with all the trimmings followed by cheesecake. Thats easily 3000 cals I'm sure.

did you use a food scale and weigh it all out? If not, then there is no way to know. Not sure why you are using one day from a few days ago and saying you are not gaining. Besides, it can take two to three weeks for your gain to show up...

if you are not gaining you are not in surplus of calories, period.

So? If you're not gaining weight it's because you're not eating in a surplus.
