When to do what?

I'm a 5'5" female 37y old weighing 153lb. I'd like to get to 135lb as well as exercise for overall health/fitness. I'm interested in taking the bodyweight training "route" but not sure if I should start now or weight until I reach my goal weight? I don't really enjoy exercise but I am making changes for me. I'm not looking to win any fitness competitions but I am interested in bettering my body. I want to look and feel good about myself. Right now all I am doing is T25 (more for the cardiovascular benefits) and I am eating 1300-1400 calories/day.

I don't think anyone has ever said "Man, I wish I had waited to begin resistance training." It helps preserve your muscles while you're losing weight. In my experience, it also made my body look much better even before I reached goal weight.3

Do it now. There is no logic in waiting and you may even surprise yourself by discovering you enjoy it!5
