I'm working on getting my hair to grow back in some areas, and I'm consuming 1400 calories a day- of that I'm aiming for 35% protein consumption. I only eat fish for protein. I'm wondering if anyone has managed to regrow hair with the increase of protein, how much did you consume? I've also started zing, selenium and iron supplements (I'm anemic).

Only fish for protein? No beans, quinoa, soy (tofu), lentils, chickpeas, yogurt, milk, cheese, almonds?
Corn, oatmeal, peanut butter, rice, spinach?
Note: If you have/had an eating disorder, be aware that therapists tell their patients NOT to use sites like this.
High zinc intakes can inhibit copper absorption. I hope your doctor is aware.

Brazil nuts are also a great natural source of selenium and of course some protein.
