I've been hitting the gym for about two weeks now. My main goal is to build muscles and tone. I know it's only been two weeks but I should see some kind of results right.

No. Sorry. 2 weeks the only change may be water weight, but no significant visual changes.

Cathipa is so right. 1 month is about the time visual changes start. Untill then you can only feel the difference but not see it

No. I've been lifting heavy and dieting (cutting, bulking, maintaining) for two years. I've seen SOME results.

Do you have fat to lose, or not?

Yes I do have alot of inner thigh fat to lose. I think my upper body is fine and so I'm not really trying to lose anymore weight. I still do Cardio before hitting the weights. I'm just really trying to focus on getting lean but the process isn't easy at all. In two more weeks hopefully I can see a difference. Thanks for answering back guys!!

If you have a decent amount of fat to lose there, you can't spot reduce. You'll need to eat in a deficit, though probably just a slight one. 250 calories under maintenance. Continue strength training to maintain lean body mass, meaning you'll have a more defined/lean look once you lose the fat. That's essentially what "toning" is. The problem with that word is it doesn't mean anything to anyone. It doesn't outline a clear goal and how to achieve it.

You can't make your body lose fat where you want it to. Chances are that fat may be really stubborn and never go. I know my thighs are always big no matter my size. Over the years I've just learned to love my thighs however they want to be.

I am on a 1200 calorie diet now and I do about 35 minutes on the treadmill for cardio and I do 25 minutes on the bike. I alternate days for legs and arms. I do abs and butt every day and i've been doing it seven days a week. Should I continue doing that to get rid of the excess fat or am I doing too much.

It's not how I would do it.

Moderate deficit, moderate cardio, heavy strength training. But, if you're in a deficit you'll lose fat. Your body composition will look best with strength training.

Thanks arditarose!! I'll try and do less cardio and more strength training.
