So im wondering how quick foods adds weight to specific areas of your body after eating it, not just in your stomach but all around and does drinking lots of water also add weight all around?

Doesn't work like that ...weight loss and gain is not linear
If doing a perfect progressive resistance programme and eating sufficient protein then 2lb muscle gain for men, half that for women, per month is what I've read...of course there will be fat alongside that
Scale weight should be divorced from body composition to be honest
Water weight is part of scale weight ....post gym pump you will see water weight bulking specific muscles that you have worked if at certain musculature
Otherwise just keep on keeping on
I saw dramatic changes in body composition over a period of about a year, and gradual changes over the next 18 months1 -
I've noticed my body seems to reflect my diet from about a week ago. It takes about a week for your body to process the food and turn it into fat. (Learned this in medical school)3

I would concur with both of the above posts....
My body composition (how sharp/tight/soft I am, holding water, etc...) tend to reflect my eating by 3 or 4 days after the fact.
2lbs of muscle for males a month is usually the best case scenario.....that is if everything is on point.0
