Living with "conditions"

Hello all! My name is Ashley. I am starting my weight loss journey after gaining over 100 pounds in a year. I couldn't figure out why I was gaining so much when my eating habits haven't changed and I even started eating better. After multiple blood draws- I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and a non functioning Thyriod. So with the help of Medication and diet and exercise I am starting my new life... A new me. I would love support and encouragement from the community... And will give the same in return!

It's tough having pcos, my best friend has it. She also has fibro myalgia. She went gluten-free to help with the fibro, and starting eating better and her pcos has improved so much she was able to get pregnant :)

I don't know much about it except through her, but if you ever want to talk I can be a friend to you too :)

Welcome! I'm glad to hear you've found out the cause of your health problems. That is half the battle. I also have many health problems that have effected my weight and I struggle every day to try to make healthy choices. Feel free to add me if you want. It sounds like you are off to a great start though, keep up the good work!
