Natural curls and want to cut it short

Hello,
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I'm hoping that some of you ladies can relate. My hair is naturally curly, like really curly. I am thinking about cutting my hair short because I want a change. I have seen some cute hairstyles when I did a Google search. My issue is that I am worried that short curly hair would look terrible on me as I have always had longer hair. I have lost about 58 lbs though and I'm about 12 lbs away from a healthy bmi. So this would be a great time for a change. Can anyone else relate to feeling a bit self conscious about a new hairstyle as you are losing weight.

absolutely!! I find when my weight starts to spin I take more care with makeup and hair! lol I love a nice "lob" with natural curls and have been thinking about it myself...
But its tough to make a change but I think its worth the risk! Go For It!!1 -

Use a make-over website that allows you to download your pic & "try on" different hair styles!3

Changing my hair after I lost weight was so liberating. I used to hide behind it with big updos and I'd dye it red. Now I just want natural, light, beautiful hair. Nothing to hide behind.
I used to have curly hair. I wore it relatively short, around my shoulders. I would have it cut in short layers too, with BANGS (yes, curly bangs), and make it really big and fun. I actually loved it.1 -

That's a great way of looking at it...not having anything to hide behind. I bet you rocked the curly bangs :-) I'm super excited and nervous for this change but it is much needed!0 -

Thank you so much for the tip. I tried an app and I think I like a shorter (ish) cut with a darker shade of red and black highlights.0 -

Yeah. It feels reaaaallly good. I used to have to tease my hair so that it kind of helped balance my body out. I was 34, 29, 44. I couldn't just wear my hair flat down because I was such a triangle shape lol.0 -
Just keep in mind it might get curlier. I can't have short hair bc the weight is gone and my curls get insane. And the poof, oh lord the poof. Also my face is really fat.
You have a gorgeous face and I think any hairstyle will look good. Besides if you don't like it, it will grow back
Try it! And show pics if you do!0
