Hello all,

I have been using MFP for a a little over a year and have lost about 54 lbs but am now stuck. Every pound lost is taking weeks. I do cardio daily and just stepped up my strength routine. I started at a little over 231 and am now down to 177. Suggestions?

Lol the dreaded plateau. I know what's funny I had to do a double take at your post. I started at 234 and am dreading getting to the 170s because of the plateau. In the past I get to that same point and plateau. I've gotten so frustrated I give up but not this time. I've been reading about plateaus and everything says the same that you have to change whatever your doing up. I don't know if you count carbs or calories but switch it up. I've been trying to figure out the macros to what I eat hoping that might help. I'm trying to cut out sodium mainly because of water retention. Strength training is important. You're creating a lot of muscle now so you should be seeing inches instead of lbs. Use the tape measure as motivation. I'm sending you a friend request. Hope that's ok. It seems like we are on the same journey. I started about a month ago and have lost about 25 lbs total. I'm shooting for 100 lbs lost leaving me at 134.
