My fitness pal increased my daily allowed calories

I'm very confused. My fitness pal increased my daily calorie allowance from 1200 to over 1500. I'm confused as to why this was done. Is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else before and why?

    Have you list weight? Don't forget to update your weight loss in goals.

    It will adjust your calories either taking away or adding based on your progression and your stats

    Was that just a one time thing? Did you enter exercise?

    It will make up the deficit in calories eaten.

    Did you make a new weight? Hit your maintenance goal? That could cause adjustment.

    I saw that when I increased my exercise that my calorie limit increased to make up for it. Thanks you all for the considerate replies!
