When should you see a difference?

Just wondering how many pounds or what percent weight loss it takes to see a difference.
I'm 5'3", gone from 9 to 8.7 ish but can't say it shows. I'm fairly flat chested and carry most weight on my legs (which have always been a bit chunky).
Was hoping to get to 8.1 but at this rate I'll have to go much lower to get anywhere near slim. And I really like food (boo hoo)!

I started at 280 lbs and am down to 267.4 lbs. I don't really see a difference yet, but my double chin has definitely slimmed down a bit. I will be so excited when the first person says, "Wow! You look like you're losing weight". Such a feeling of accomplishment. Best wishes on your journey.0

A few months ago I cut a lot of added sugar out of my diet. The calories weren't great enough to make a huge difference in weight loss but I've been losing about an inch from by waist line per month since then. So 10 pounds but almost 3" less in the waist. I don't know if people can see a difference but I had to poke a new hole in my belt. I can sure tell the difference. (10 pounds is ~5% of my body weight)0
