Does it matter? Losing inches

Does losing inches depend on what you eat or will you lose inches just as fast, if not faster, when you eat healthier foods? I'm more interested in losing inches around my waist and butt area but not sure if diet matters if I am within my calorie goal?

I notice that my stomach is smaller if I don't eat sugar and processed food.

You'll lose fastest with low carb because you'll drop more water weight. And often water weight will be carried in the midsection so you may lose inches there. But it will even out over time and if you don't continue with low carb it could come back.

I don't recommend manipulating carbs as long term you want to lose fat in the area. If you’ve got an important event coming up and you’re not at your desired size yet, I suggest investing in Spanx or sitting in a sauna for the same temporary effect.

You won't lose less fat with a low carb diet. Fat loss will be the sameary.

No, but restricing any of the macronutrient groups is less sustainable for the average person. I personally think it's best for people to eat the foods they know and love while learning to control overall calorie intake. Atleast once they reach their goal weight they wont have to maintain a lifestyle that may/may not work for them.

I know i personally become a real jerk if i don't have enough carbs.
