$5 per week. Loose pounds or donate it a hated cause. Whose with me?

I heard this motivational challenge from someone who was trying to quit smoking snd I can't think of any better motivation. You save a certain amount of money each week, say $5. Set a reasonable weight loss goal and if you make it, you can buy a new outfit or go on vacation. If you don't, you have to donate to any cause you despise. In my case, Donald Trump. I want to loose 10lbs.

How much weight do you want to loose and what will you donate to if you don't win?

Considering that weight loss isn't linear, so there's really no guarantee you'll hit your goal for the week - even if you do everything "right," it's not a particularly good idea.

In fact, I'm inclined to think it's potentially a very bad idea, as someone might weigh him/herself the day before, see that (s)he is a little heavier than what (s)he wanted, and might do something stupid to try to get to his/her goal.

This sounds like a cool idea. But instead of a week range, maybe adjust it to a month, because some weeks you may have lost fat, but the scale weight may not have reflected that quite yet.
