Which one would be the best to go by? What's the main difference? In my nutrients, I never go over my carbs, but in my macros I do. Could someone please explain??

I don't understand. Do you mean grams vs. percentage?

Side note: it's more important what you pick to fill either, than your goals. For example: Protein from fish is better then protein from hot dogs.

Yeah, sorry, I'm not following either... macros is short for macronutrients... soooo... protein, carbs, and fats are all macros and nutrients.

Side note, this is not necessarily true. For weight loss goals, what matters is calories, the macro breakdown has little impact other than satiety and helping a person preserve lean muscle while losing.

Also not sure how protein from a hot dog is different than from fish any more than 300 calories from a donut are the same as 300 cals from broccoli...

That's not saying of course that hot dogs = fish = donuts = broccoli...
