Newly discovered food allergies?

So I have been on my 1500 calorie diet for only a week now. I have cut out a lot of things that were once a daily ritual because, well, they weren't healthy options.

I made tuna fish salad today for breakfast with avocado instead of mayo. And put cucumbers, onions, celery in it as well. And I measured out a cup to have.
About a half hour later I got really bloated and tired and had a stomachache..... So I haven't eaten since.
These are all normal things that I've eaten a million times. All of the things I put in the salad were left overs from the snacks I had during the week. So I'm thinking it was the tuna fish.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Or am I just crazy?

I went through something similar, what my physician referred to as Adult Onset Allergies. Mine was wheat (no, nothing to do with gluten), where I started having hay fever like symptoms (sinus congestion, runny nose, sneezing) after eating it. I cut out all wheat and no longer have any symptoms except for those times where I inadvertently eat some. Interestingly, I was allergic to wheat (among other things) as a child, but eventually outgrew the allergies, as most do.

It may be that the mixture of foods was wrong. Some foods shouldn't be stored together and will rapidly decay if they are already ripe or overripe. Avocados are high-ethylene gas fruits and the avocado probably was overripe when you added it to the salad vegetables leading to it going "sour" when you ate it. Of course I am not saying the avocado was bad before you mixed it in, because you would need it to be overripe for it to be the guacamole like consistency you were looking for.

In my opinion, one incidence of what sounds like mild discomfort would not be enough for me to assume I had developed an allergy. I'm more inclined to go with @B4Rachael and think it was the combination, or just a one-off fluke which could be due to loads of things, assuming you have eaten tuna before without problems. You could have a very minor tummy bug, and anything you ate this morning could've given you a stomachache - there's not really a way to tell. You say you have recently changed your way of eating quite substantially, so that could even be a factor; who knows!

I have allergies, not food related, but these were not diagnosed without medical testing on the basis of repeated reactions, so I wouldn't necessarily start cutting foods out immediately. Maybe try a little bit of tuna on its own in a few days' time and see how you go.

I think this is your answer. It may well be that one of the ingredients (and yes that could be the tuna) was not 100% fresh anymore. If it happened to me I would put it down to a slight tummy bug, not an allergy. I would check the temperature of my fridge too.

I don't think it's a true allergy. Speaking as someone who has actual food allergies, it's more like hives, anaphylaxis, itchy mouth and ears, etc for me. I carry an epi-pen.
I don't even need a doctor to tell me I can't have eggs, I was born like this and it's a reaction that happens every single time.

I'm also allergic to medicines and other things so it sucks.

You could have had a fluke or just an upset stomach that day.
