Using an Omron for Body Fat Percentage.

Hi everyone,

I just recently acquired an Omron handheld bf% analyser; reviews seemed decent and I was dying to know what my percentage is. So I've used it 3 times, once a day so far, and the number its given me seems way way lower than what I look like I am. The highest its given me is 16.4%...and I just don't know if I'm that low. I read the instructions, I'm pretty sure I'm using it correctly.
My question is, has anyone used one? If so, when and how do you use it for the most accurate reading?

Thanks!

Those are very popular - I'm sure tons of people here use them.
It's important to use it at the same time in your day. It's usually suggested to use it after waking up and using the bathroom, but before drinking any water.
Also expect it to fluctuate a lot for mysterious reasons. Bioimpedance is a messy technique, and often inaccurate even when consistent.

I use one myself (one built into a scale, with a handheld sensor) but average the reading together with the US Navy tape measure technique.
