Watching Katt Williams helped me a lot!! Idk how old you are but the older I get the less I care about what anyone else thinks of me. Don't like me? Bye. Don't let sad stuff take up room in your brain. <3

Doing better so far on being less sensitive, still using a lot of strength

I dunno how to answer you. I've been told I have the personality of 80 grit sandpaper when it comes to certain things.

Never been told of having any personality just drawn from my own strength

If you're a Pisces, you're doomed. We are really emotional creatures. I'm wildly sensitive, so hurting is regular, even if it's painful just the same. I think my sensitivity stems from principle--the how/why could/would you do/say that? Nothing to really do but lick your wounds and keep swimming..

*snort. Not so. I used to be super sensitive, and now I border on being totally insensitive sometimes. For instance, astrology is complete and total nonsense. See?
You just have to make a conscious decision not to give any furks, and then do that. I'm still very empathetic and kind, I just have no room to be hurt by opinions anymore.

I think age has a lot to do with this too. The older I get, the fewer furks I give.

My grit is at a 25 percent around that, but I should give a few of those as well, as well as IDGAF

I'm with you OP. I'm way too sensitive and tend to over-analize everything. Seriously think I'm just better off alone most of the time.

It does get better with age I guess... at least a bit.

My give-a-damn busted, and that's how I became less sensitive.

The thing about being super sensitive is its kind of narcissistic. You assume people are looking/talking about you where the fact is that everyone is too tied up in their head to really notice anyone else. They really don't care.. There are some mean people in the world, but generally they are rare (and insecure themselves) and remarks you consider mean are usually not intended that way.
I will also agree that the older you get the less you care. That woman at the grocery store could be smiling at me because she thinks I look good, or because she thinks I look awful, or (probably) she is smiling to herself remembering the hot date she just had and isn't looking at me at all. The difference is I don't care which it is and just smile back and move on.

I've always taken the good from what people say and throw away the negative. 99% of the time it's there problems not you that makes people say mean and nasty things.
