This has personally been one of my biggest difficulties: judgement
Not from friends, but from family. The reason being is that they're so poorly educated on nutrition they basically thought I was starving myself. Which I was not- and I would never do since I'm into weight training.
To be honest I haven't done much dieting, with age my metabolism must have shot up as well as my increased exercise. However I am now going to start checking what I eat a little more. I do know everything I eat, it comes naturally to me from counting calories out of curiosity before. I eat just above my maintenance and I'm okay with it. But a major issue for me right now is cutting back on sugar. I'm incredibly irritatable without sugar and I always reach for chocolate. Today is my first day with out

I'm ok without sugar. Chips are my downfall. Doing ok with it, but some days I just have to have chips. Good luck!0

Maybe allow yourself a small chocolate treat at the end of the day if your eating has been nutritious throughout the day?
Thats what I do...i cant cut out a food or food group...it just doesnt work for me. So I focus on eating nutritious foods and make sure i leave room for a treat each day. Sometimes it candy, sometime fast food....whatever it is, i try to limit it to one 'less healthy' option a day and fill the rest of my day with more nutritious foods.0 -

I try to but I go overboard. All the time. I allowed myself a magnum ice cream and ended up then eating half a jar of Nutella. Yesterday I allowed myself some biscuits but ended up eating a big slice of cake.. No self control0 -

I am the same way. Great planning, stick to it for the most part but then blow it way out of proportion when I try to have a a small treat. Does moderation take practice or do I just need to avoid triggers completely?0
